AMAM Sunday Object Talk - Paul Goebel '16

Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 2:00pm to 2:30pm

Allen Memorial Art Museum
87 North Main Street, Oberlin, OH 44074

Paul Goebel '16 will discuss Oskar Kokoschka's painting Sposalizio (Double Portrait) from 1912, one of the highlights of the modern art collection.

Talk begins at 2pm.

Offered most Sundays during the academic year, these talks are orientated specifically towards the casual visitor to the Allen Memorial Art Museum. Each talk focuses on one work in the collection or on view in a current exhibition, and lasts approximately 15 minutes plus questions. Conducted by an Oberlin College student docent, these talks are a fantastic opportunity to learn about new objects or revisit old ‘friends’ from the collection.

Spring semester talks begin on February 7 and run through May 1 (except March 20 and 27). Each student-led session focuses on a work on view in the galleries and lasts about 15 minutes, followed by time for questions and answers.
