Express your creative side with arts and crafts in the Allen Memorial Art Museum’s East Gallery.
At Community Day this fall, we are making our very own hanging scrolls! Visitors can practice writing calligraphy, paint bamboo and cherry blossoms, or create a design of their own making.
This exciting event is free and open to people of all ages from the college and community.
While your project dries, participate in a docent-led discussion of the Chinese scroll that inspired this event by Xie Shichen, "Poet Lin Bu Gazing at the Reflection of the Moon in the Water." Or watch a calligraphy demonstration by Oberlin College students.
This event is made possible with generous support from the Freeman Foundation.
