Allen After Hours: Celebrations of Place—An Evening with Local Musicians

Enjoy a festive evening of music in the courtyard behind the Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College, with a performance by a local jazz ensemble led by trombonist, pianist, and composer Caleb A. Smith '19.

For this event, Smith has composed a piece inspired by a vivid painting in the Allen’s collection by Cleveland artist Michelangelo Lovelace. Hear the piece’s public debut played by Smith on trombone and piano with bandmates Gabriel Jones on drums, Ahmed Zuberi McLemore '24 on bass, and Nathan-Paul W. Davis on saxophone and flute.

Access Statement:
This event will be held in the courtyard behind the museum, which is partially accessible to wheelchairs and rolling walkers. The adjacent museum building is wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair-accessible restrooms. Restrooms are gender-specific; visitors are invited to use the restroom of their preference. Listening devices and ASL will not be available during the event.
