Inspired by and building upon the themes of Yaeji's collaborative art exhibit this past August, EYE x EAR, Yaeji will continue to explore the relationship between sight and sound in this mixed media installation. There will also be time for Yaeji to talk about her work and the exhibit and answer questions.
Description for EYE x EAR:
EYE x EAR is an exhibit of synesthetic work between vision and audition and an exploration of sensual experience based on decision-making.
The show consists of a collection of 6-second long looped videos(visual+audio) created by 70 artists. Participants were selected and paired by Special Edition Co. and Kathy Yaeji Lee (The Gradients).
Audio producers were asked to compose 6-second loops that were then assigned to visual artists to create loops in response. This was determined based on the structure of Vine.
