The Delaware Valley Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers will showcase their talents in the Clarence Ward Art Library’s upcoming show  <3” (three inches or less), handcrafted miniature books.

Entries range in theme and content, as well as functionality and artistic innovation, but all must follow the show’s strict criteria: no more than three inches in height, width, or thickness.

One work from the show will be selected as the Purchase Prize and added to the Clarence Ward Art Library’s Artists’ Book Collection.   Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite book; the winner will be announced.

The display cases will be open the first day of the show so the books may be fully enjoyed.  Don’t miss Open Book Hours from 10am – 3pm.

The Guild of Book Workers was founded in 1906 … to establish and maintain a feeling of kinship and mutual interest among workers in the several hand book crafts.  Based in Philadelphia, The Delaware Valley Chapter is one of ten regional chapters in the United States. Chapter members include book artists, book conservators, fine binders, calligraphers, librarians, paper marblers, teachers, photographers, and printmakers.
