Science Center, Bent Corridor
119 Woodland Street, Oberlin, OH 44074

Poetry exposition featuring poems from English professor Yago Colás' ENGL 167 course, 13 Ways of Looking at Sport. Inspired from the Wallace Stevens poem "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird," students spent the semester exploring 13 different ways of analyzing the "sports machine."

At the conclusion of each weekly unit, students each wrote a stanza for their own poem. These poems will be on display for the public in the Science Center hallway for the last week of classes.

The 13 ways of looking at sport are as machine, bodies, play, excellence, goodness, beauty, organizations, market, media, politics, pictures, numbers,  and words.
