Barnard houses approximately 40 students and allows for lots of 1-on-1 contact and more personal connections to be formed among all the residents. Large lounges and kitchens help promote student interaction here. Barnard is conveniently located across the street from the main dining hall on campus and just steps away from the Science Center. The greater goal of this unique community is to promote and help the development of a healthy lifestyle in order to better support the Oberlin students who make the conscious choice and effort to live substance-free.
