Kenyan Tea Time Benefit

Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Carnegie Building, Root Room
52 West Lorain Street, Oberlin, OH 44074

Shining Hope for Communities of Oberlin (SHOFCO-Oberlin) and Kenya Reads  bring you a moment of relaxation before finals in the form of chai, chapati, and other delicious Kenyan treats!

Come by at any time between 6 - 8 pm.

Kenya Reads empowers vulnerable youth in Kenya by providing educational resources for students from low-income families. They have recently started a new program, the Kenya Pads Project, that provides girls with sanitary products to better help with their attendance in school.
The benefit will also feature SWEP (SHOFCO's Women's Empowerment program) items that include handmade goods made by HIV positive women in Kibera, Kenya, with 100 percent of proceeds going back to these women and their community.

Get your tickets at Wilder Desk—$3 for students, $5 for faculty and staff. All proceeds go to Kenya Reads.
