Oberlin Public Library
65 South Main Street, Oberlin, OH 44074

About Playtime

Playtime is a  series of free, interactive, media-production workshops and stations for all ages hosted by the Apollo Outreach Initiative (AOI) at the Oberlin Public Library. During Playtime, patrons will be given access to art materials, colorful papers, and  toys, along with digital tools, like video cameras, sound recorders, and editing stations to quickly craft short micro-movies and stop-motion animations that can be published to AOI's website. Patrons will be exposed, in a fun and abbreviated way, to each stage of the filmmaking process, including pre-production and post-production workshops on green screen, storyboard, and sound recording.  Playtime may also offer screenings of short films for young audiences to pair with our interactive stations. These will be open-access, free-flowing  events that will require no RSVPs or  pre-determined time commitments.
